Day 8 - From Ochonomizu to Akihabara

Warm day, don't really feel like I should be walking a lot, since the legs are still tired from previous walks. Have a sandwich from supermarket ready for a breakfast, and some coffee in the fridge.

Decide to just visit bookshop area then guitar street looking for some specific guitar books, maybe even a guitar for later, since I can ship them easily.
Find a few great items in bookshops, but still looking for the one that I need, apparently I can order, but need to understand how, since websites don't accept english names at all, need to translate my name but don't have a "Kanji" name yet.

Once I'm done, I head to the street where the music shops are located. Although many stores line the avenue, they don't open until 11 o'clock.

Before doing any shopping though, I decide to just do some window shopping. About 20 shops on the street, mostly selling either high end collectors or cheaper ones, but find a few that fit the middle spot. I find a few that look interesting and try them on for a few minutes here and there... even playing in a shop environment with a good amp, it's not the same as noodling back home on your favourite equipment.

Feeling certain I will be back one day, I ask about some popular guitar books, but they do not have them here.

I decide to cross a few more spots off my map, and head towards Akihabara.
I randomly stumble into the Mandrake, I heard about it, but wasn't planning on going, as it's a giant 8 story pawn shop, for everything anime, manga, toys... they buy and sell every single toy, no matter the condition or pieces you don't have.

Some floors are dedicated to adult only material, and just fan made comics, it's interesting that there is just too much, and I know it's not the only store, but every shelf is filled to the brim with stuff, I guess if they are selling it, someone must be buying.

In any manga section, the order goes by author name, in the order of A, E, I, O, U and then Ka,Ke,Ki,Ko,Ku and so on with other consonants but imagine trying to find a specific author not sure if his last name or first should be there... and not even sure you're on the right floor for this type of manga.

I start feeling like I saw every figure/gundam/book possible so I think of heading back towards a coffee shop and then catch up on some work.

I catch the wrong way train, but easy to fix the issue, as I revert on the next station. Find my way back to the hotel and realise it's almost time to move hotels.

I settled down for an evening of work, but my mind kept wandering to the possibility of more adventures. Even if I was tired after spending all day out, I still had a lingering sense of excitement that something unexpected may still be in store. As I started to drift off, I thought of all the possibilities that could occur while I wasn't looking and wanted nothing more than to stay up and see what would happen next... I doze off.
